Okay so we had our very first elective class today to top off what was quite a big, but beneficial day of new knowledge and understanding for me.
Our lecturer is - Roy Torkington - he's a pretty energetic and animated character with a background in Graphic Design, Web Design and Video Production (to my knowledge) and looks like a surfie x metal-head, but all in all a genuine guy with a good knowledge of what he is presenting to us. He has a lot of stuff available for us on learn already and seems fairly well organised with things which is great!
Anyway, i enjoyed the fact Roy got stuck into it all early on after a brief introduction of himself to us.
It was a beneficial class for me, because it re-invigorated a lot of what i once knew when i was a Graphic Designer developing websites for Central Queensland University (now CQ University) so i took that as a big positive and look forward to it helping me "pick-up" where i left off - to an extent. That way i can get right into the upcoming task/assignments and try produce some really nice results for him.
So yeah i am excited to be doing this course, because it is sure to get the old brain working hard again and allow me to build on my current excuse for a website in the real world to help me promote myself as a photographer and gain some real work :]
